I am having trouble getting the Olympus E-410 to even take a shot in low light - it sometimes tries to open the flash to help (I think) try and focus. Will it help if I turn off autofocus when shooting in low light?

I just recently became interested in photography, and after reading a ton of reviews and comparisons, the E410 seemed like a great choice as far as price and simplicity for a beginner's SLR.

I just skimmed the review you posted, and I'm really looking forward to reading it more in-depth. Thanks for the hard work- very helpful!
